SECOND CIRCLE (2001)
When Enter the Worship Circle came out in 1999, we were given a taste of heavenly worship. Its new sound was unspoiled by pretensions of "high art," or by any pressing studio managers who were seeking monies. It was a gathering of a few of God's children who strung their guitars with their heartstrings and played them to highest Heaven. They sought only the Father and the opportunity to worship Him with all that they had. ENTER THE WORSHIP CIRCLE (1999)
Does good, God-pleasing praise and worship need to be exhaustively rehearsed, with every note blending in a flawless, beautiful melody? In their album Enter the Worship Circle the bands of Waterdeep and 100 Portraits answer a joyous and emphatic "NO!" True worship is shown to be a heart issue, not a production. There was a need in the hearts of the artists to do what they were created for—praising their God. Thankfully they also invite us to come along with them and enter the shining presence of our Lord.
